    How to merge partition ?

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

Here I have two Container disk, Container disk 1 has MACOS and MACOS-DATA, while the Container disk 2 has NewAPFS named volumes.

I want to remove NewAPFS and add that space onto MACOS.

How to do that using disk utility ?

    MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

You need to use the Partition button.

  • If the NewAPFS partition is after your macOS partition, you can remove it and then merge the free space into the first partition. It will destroy all data on NewAPFS.

If it is organized the other way around, you cannot merge them.
