The next part of the cave will have some obstacles blocking some paths. Maneuver your trainer to the platform on the southeast part of the cave, and wait until the platform sinks onto the lower floor.

You will see to flights of stairs leading down again. Take the left one.

Talk to your partner, then find your way down to another platform and ride it down onto the lower floor.

Go through the doorway on your left and take the platform there up. Your partner should give you an egg that will hatch into Riolu here.
