If you need any extra candy, throw a Pinap Berry to double your Wurmple Candy haul.

Once you get Silcoon, you can use 50 Wurmple Candy to evolve it into Beautifly. If you get Cascoon, you can use 50 Wurmple Candy to evolve it into Dustox.

That being said, it makes sense that Pokémon Go’s evolution system for Wurmple is also completely random, even if it can result in a sad unlucky streak.
